anyone tried the new "falling rate regulator"???

yea, well i found out my biggest problem ever. no f-in wonder i cant make boost. the goT damn mallory 4309 drops pressure as it sees positive pressure!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!!! i have sent mrgasket an email of the problem and am still awaiting a response. i don't understand how this is possible but i spent all night trying different things and yes, after finally mounting my fuel pressure guage up on the cowl and being able to see it as idrive, i discovered that this is definately the damn issue. oh my forkin gosh. it's crazy too. it drops it smooth as ever, just as if it were increasing with boost... just the wrong fuggin way!! AHHHH!!! i'm so mad. anywho. yea, i'm gonna patent this. LOL :p:

Is there any possibility that you could reverse the inlet/outlet on it so it works as it should till they send you a replacement?

Thats a neat trick.

Zac and I went through that last night, inlet/outlet is correct (he says). The funny part is, when he put vacuum to the FPR the pressure went up. Rediculous.

My 45 dollar ebay 4309 worked great when it was on my TII, and on my SA...I guess i'm one of the lucky ones.

Directfreak 04-20-05 06:59 PM

Mine worked perfectly too.

yea, it was definately the regulator. i got the aeromotive (bit pricey) 13301 and wouldn't you know it, the first time i went out on the road, the pressure went up beautifully as it should using the same location for reference. OH YESSSS!!!!! does this mean i can boost now?? MUHUHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!! that will be answered in a new thread... MUHUAHAH!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

p.s. Mallory tech supports sux a big one, the guy completely didn't listen to what i had to say about it, just threw out the fact that the 4309 was fine and it was my car. i have his extension and i plan to call him back (which he sarcasticly asked me to do if i found out what i was telling him was true) LOL, no offer of help or anything.

mwatson184 04-22-05 01:41 AM

Tell him that what was wrong was that the 4309 you had was a piece. How did you get that 13301 so fast, did a local shop have one in stock?

Zac be online tomorrow, I have a suprise for you, and I think you know what it is.
