Anyone have the Mazdatrix weber 45dcoe carbs. what do you think

I want to upgrade my carb and I came accross the weber kit on the mazdatrix website.
I was going to go with the holley streetport kit, but I dont like how it lookes, and I have heard that it doesnt work well when cornering. Plus you dont have to replace the fuel pump with this intake.

I have a 82 with long headers and a apexi muffler and I will be streetporting the engine soon.

Also, do you have to buy a rebuild kit to port the engine. Or can you just disasemble, port and reasemble the engine with the stock seals and gaskets. thanks.

I had the HOlley kit....
Oh it is soooo very sweet!! LOTS of extra power!!
HOWEVER.... it sucks down gasoline like a Taliban Camel drinks water!!!! I would sit in the car lettin it idle and I could see the needle inching downwards!!!!!!!

Webers are better all around and oly cost a few bucks more. GO for them!

You're going to need to upgrade your fuel pump no matter what, unless you only want to make 100hp.

I two was also going to get a holley setup, but went for the 45mm sidedraft from mazdatrix. Its the best upgrade i ever put on my 7.

So I guess it is best to go ahead and get a new fuel pump now so later down the line in mods that is already there? That way no matter what fuel system you go with, you got it taken care of.

yup. that is a good way to go. you will need a pressure regulator too, and a fuel pressure gauge could not hurt either
