Thumbs up Anyone ever feel like their car got faster after its been out of commission?

Its been a while since the car has been running, I started working on it at the same time I started this thread https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/time-do-my-clutch-but-look-what-else-i-decided-do-594180/ I have finally got the car running, and spend the weekend troubleshooting small problems.

Anyone ever feel like their car got faster after its been out of commission for a while? Haha, mine feels faster and feels like it pulls harder. But thats probably due to my new clutch, stripped Nikki, new plugs, and new fuel filter.

Just thought I'd share that. Will update that thread with pics of the completed engine bay.

No. I usually find it feels faster because what I was driving while the 7 was down was slower, lol.

Mine always feels a ton slower after it's been sitting.

Usually feels fastest right after a race.

Every Spring !!! ... horsepower improvements are so over rated ...... theres nothing like getting out of the Jeep and sitting 3 feet lower in the SA to really feel that "speed"
