At some point in this thread, I am obligated to ask if the hoods will be ready for paint or if they will need to be extensively prepped first.

Okay, when you finally get these to someone to be made, let them make the hood so you won't have to use hood pins to hold it down. When you get a price, I would know whether if I'm in on the deal or not.

so i want one if it can be made for about 500 or 600 shipped to my door and it would be a whole lot better if we could get them made to bolt onto factory hinges so that justt hood pins arnt used but at this point anything is better than nothing

I like the stock latch also. but if it adds $100 to the price I would settle for pins. My wife is working now so the disposable income should start coming in.

Most of the cheap-as-in-not-expensive CF hoods I see for Hondas in SS are in the $500 neighborhood, so I have to wonder about any company willing to take $300 for such a one-shot deal.

But, if it matters, anyway to get the hood with the twin air extractors like you see for the FD CF hoods???

Hmm.. for venting, perhaps he could be sent that TII hood scoop mold from rotorhead.ca

That would allow him to fab the mold with an air-intake for those that could use it.

gah! ok i have been trying to get a hold of this guy george for the past few days. he is either not at his desk or out on appointments.

according to several people i have talked to there at carbon creations. he is the only person there i can talk to about custon carbon fiber and fiberglass work.

i have been told we need a min of 20. but i have not recived a price. they all keep telling me i need to speek to george. so i will keep trying i left him a message the other day but i have not recived a return phone call. I just tryed calling him and he is not in the office. i will try again in about an hour.

as for shiping any one have any experiance shiping a hood before?

and what do you guys think of fiberglass hoods? i would asume there going to be a nice amount less then a carbon fiber one.

I'm within an hour's drive of Glen Burnie, and I have a perfect hood...

I'm in the market for a new FB-model hood. CF would be neet! The top skin has some rust spot coming through from, what I assume, is the underside's support-ribbing welds.
