Any 1 running S-5 T2 tranny in a FB

Just finished swapping in a J spec S-5 turbo motor. Currently I using a RB aluminum flywheel and S-5 rear counter weight. The flywheel is for a 12a setup and I am using my original 12a tranny. I going to pick up a S-5 turbo tranny this friday. I wondering how much fabbing is involved with the cross member. I know the S-4 is really close to lining up with the original crossmember, but I heard the S-5 is further back on the mounting location. Does any one no for sure. Also I going to ditch the 12a flywheel setup and just run straight S-5 pieces, even though racing beat makes a moddified clutch disc, no one has a straight answer on the starter and the ring gear mating up.? So screw it. So is anyone running a S-5 tranny and what did you do to mount it up. Thanks.

Where did you end up getting the tranny?

Free bump.

I going to get it down at Jeff's Mazda in Puyallup on Friday. He has some that came with Jspec import engines. I decided to use the s-5 instead of the s-4 because the s-5 has a deeper 5th gear .719 vs. .762 even though the mounts are different i.e harder to do and I can get a s-4 tranny cheaper, I think in the long run or long drive that i will be happier with the s-5 tranny.

How is your parts sourcing coming along? What do you still need.? I have a few parts left over. Thanks for the bump

I haven't been actively searching at this point. I'm doing body prep on the donor, after/during which I'll be swapping the suspension, blah blah blah. Basically, I'm a good bit of time away from needing the drivetrain, so I'm not hurrying.
