Alternator wiring

Hey all. I'm wiring a 90 alternator (80 amp) into a 1980 rx7 conversion. I do not have the original wiring as this is not a rotary. Can someone tell me where the 2 wires from the plug go to. I've seen conflicting info and their mainly direct SC to FB conversions.

The main positive I assume goes to the starter or battery?

Thanks

There is a ton of write ups on this, search and you shall find.I had to look this up the other day, i don't remember what thread I looked at. Also you can download a wiring diagram from foxed.ca for free

yeah, I know....but they all seem to reference which plugs to switch, wire colors etc. I do not have the old harness. none, zilch. I tossed it- DOH!!!

there's a boinger in there now.

I'll post in 2nd gen as it's a second gen alt

I know the thick wire with the ring terminal goes to battery positive, one of the other wires goes to the battery/alternator warning light, I'll look it up after work for you
