Alternative Seating

Looking at seats... Want black leather. Need to widen my possibilities...

What seats have you had in your 1st gen? How hard/easy were they to install?

Thanks!

I've got TII seats in my SE, re-done in the 'faux' leather. Very comfy and snug around corners. Pretty much a bolt in..I think I had to slightly enlarge one bolt hole on the passenger seat.

damint, i want some chrysler conquest seats, but i can't find any anywhere.....

As far as fitting goes, i will make them fit..

In my car now, i have t2 seats, and they are alright... i just like the conquest seats better.

I'd still be interested in what kind of seats everyone's put in theirs. I've seen Prelude, Miata, and 2nd Gen mostly...

miata and 2nd gen seats are very common. are you thinking of going aftermarket or staying with a car manufacturer's seats???

Car Manufacturer seats, so I can get them cheap.

I REALLY like MR-2 seats. :-)

as long as you can custom make tracks and rails, this can be done.

Update:

Bought some Acura Integra seats (90-93). I assume they are same as 'Lude seats since they were very similar cars.

Pretty sure I saw someone in the forum say they used these without all that much trouble.

Question though: I'm going with headers, straight-pipe, and racing muff. Can I cut the "cat hump" out and flatten the floor-board with new welded in sheet-metal to give some room under the seat?

No, you can't cut out the "cat hump". Its still needed to make room for the exhaust pipe.
