Alternate to 205/60x14

For those of us running 14" GSL-SE wheels, the only tires I can find in 205/60 size are are no-name and non-performance. However if I go down to a 195/60 or up to a 215/60, there are a few options. I realize moving up to a 15" is the way to go for real selection, but for now I want to stay with original wheels.

Is anyone running one of these alternate sizes? Any fitment issues or handling issues with either of these sizes?

I'm running 195s and that gets you some nice Faulken Azenis RK615 summer tires. Super sticky and fit nicely. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...bbc7a4299.jpeg

Those are the tires I am look at getting. How do you like them? Any compromise with a size smaller than recommended?

I've always had them so I can't say how they compare to OEM. They ride very nice down the highway and have tons of grip. Haven't pushed them in the cooler weather but in the warmer temps, they handle great. They are sticky tires and I always throw small rocks when leaving my neighborhood.

They also have a nice deep tread so I'll probably never need to replace them. Haven't looked at any other tires but no complaints from me.

Front:

205/50-15
205/45-16
205/40-17

Easily fits 225/45-15 with proper offset. Can run up to about a 245mm width, but only at a 23" diameter (given that your Caster adjustment is somewhat correct).

Rear:

EASILY fits 225-255 under factory fenders. Just get the correct offset wheel.
