alignment problem
 
ok, heres the deal, i had a vibration and i found a bad tie-rod end on the driver side so i replaced it with the one off of my parts car until i could get my new one ordered.

well i guess that the other car had a different alignment set up, and now the tire is big on the inside, and smaller in the outside. and it is like a cam, it lopes going slow, and there is a bad vibration at speed. it was good at first but then it got worse and worse, and it pulls really bad to the left. is there anyway i could adjust this my self to get by? and am i right that i will need to get it aligned once i get the new tie-rod on?

does this sound like an accurate assessment? or do you think ive missed something?

I am a scientist so I use string theory. On my recent attempt at this (warning, I'm not an expert) I took some string and wrapped it around the wheels, which you can do with a 7 because the body doesn't stick out. Now, the front wheels should be in alignment with the back wheels, right? So the line made by the string from the back wheels tells you what you need to do to the front wheels. You need to break loose the adjustment nut (the hard part) and twist them, with some patience, until every thing lines up just right. This is a fussy procedure, but it works, my 7 now goes straight.

i dont think an alignmaent would cause a vibration like that, you need to check the tire.

on the alignment you should have counted the turns it took to get the old one off and put the new one on the same amount.
in order to get it right now you can take a tape measure and measure the difference between the front of the tire and the back of the tire from side to side.
use the same point on each tire across the front then use the same point on the back(ie: outside edge,inside edge,first groove,ect. as long as its the same on each side). you should have about 1/16th of an inch of toe in(meaning the fronts of the tires are closer together)
