Air/Fuel Guage Installation
Has anyone done a write-up for an air/fuel guage install in a 12a? I did a search which yeilded no results.
I know I need the o2 sensor, but where is it installed and what other wires do I connect to the A/F meter. Thanks in advance, cheers' |
just put a oxigen sensor of a rx7 gslse, because is one wire. and put it in the exaust manifold or in the header by the colector. the purple wire is for the signal of the oxigen sensor and red and black wire you have to know were they go.

thanx
I was wondering about this too. |
Lotta work for nothing.

I've done it.
All you have to do is weld a bung into the header collector, screw in a generic one-wire oxygen sensor, and hook it up to whatever you're used to read it (i like my trusty DVOM, but some people actually spend $35-100-more for stuff with less resolution) It's OK for telling you if you're lean or rich, you can't trust it to tell you much more than that because the band is so narrow. But, that is still useful for a rotary, because a rotary can run extremely rich or extremely lean and still run smoothly, just with less power than optimal. The sensor will help you know which side of the fence you're on. |

thanks...
I will run to the junkyard looking for an oxygen sensor... lol... Anyone got one that I can buy? cheers' |
Buy a new one.
|
how much are they?
do i need any special kind? cheers' |
Any generic ass single wire one will work. Most of them are about 30 bucks.

ok great.
my uncles are welders so getting the "bung" and the thread or whatever it is into the headers (that i will eventually get) won't be a problem. cheers' |

How much did that cost you vs. an Air/Fuel Guage?
cheers' |
