I'm sorry to hear about it and hope we'll all learn over this. My blessings to your friend as well.

You get what you deserve. Put yourself in the Legend owner's shoes. What if its their only car and if got FUCKED by some dumbass trying to prove to another dumbass that his car is faster.

NOW.......Let the vultures pick at the bones.

d0 Luck 07-05-04 12:30 PM

oh ok, thank you Mr. Perfect.. can you teach me how to be perfect like you in other things as well?? i'm sure you don't make mistakes like i do

the acura legend left in one piece, just a dent license plate and frame and dented gas tank

faye x7 07-05-04 12:34 PM

Lesson learned? DUDE, wtf is wrong with you. You could have killed yourself or worse, someone else! Sure, I'm glad you're OK, never like to see someone get hurt, but sometimes people do some really fucking stupid shit and this is one of those cases. If you're gonna or "HAVE" to street race, then go out in the middle of nowhere where nobody drives or parks their cars. This reminds me of the ass who was going 90 down one of the busiest streets (30MPH limit) of Tacoma and then blames the lady in the minivan for getting in his way when he crashes and kills them. -_-

Metallic_rock 07-05-04 12:35 PM

Umm... yeah... stupid people shouldn't drive cars.

bouis 07-05-04 12:35 PM

Your problem, lo duck, is that you think your mistake was buying cheap tires...

Brianhsval 07-05-04 12:58 PM

Hey, who hasn't ran a car on a street? Come on now, a show of hands! Yea, most of us have at one time or another. Back in 75 I lost 5 friends because of it, but I don't cuse the ones who do. He learned his lesson I am sure. If I was his dad I would park the car send him to the bone yard for parts and hvae him walk everywhere he needed to go till it was fixed.

Honestly it will not help by busting on him about it. Pick up the pieces, learn, and next time GO TO THE TRACK!

Anex 570 07-05-04 01:27 PM

Lets just all take it easy now, I believe he learned a lesson, and hard one. If you guys actually read that other thread, you would of read about his friend. Again my blessings to her.

d0 Luck 07-05-04 05:21 PM

ok thank you Brianhsval and Anex 570 for understand me..

i guess most of the people here in the forum take everything in FACE VALUE, rather than see an underlying meaning that's suppose to lighten my own matters.

gladys (close friend that died in car accident same day i crashed my FB) was pronounced brain dead since Sunday, and they pulled the respirator on her 4:30am today, monday morning.. :(

Brianhsval 07-05-04 05:31 PM

I am very sorry for the loss of your friend. My best to you and her family.

Man, I expect your parents have always been disappointed by you!

Doluck, please do your racing on a track, instead of becoming a fucking statistic. Sounds like you have learned enough at this point for a lifetime!;)

RotaryRyan 07-05-04 06:17 PM

Man i read you thread in the west forum. hmmmm. sucks.

Im not gonna be mean though. We all do stupid things. I almost paralyzed/got severe damage to my back region, because i wanted to slide around in the back of a moving truck while my dad was driving. I got an 8 inch stake in my back. It went in vertically and hurt like alot

jimmyjoejoe 07-06-04 12:20 AM

glad you're okay, dude, it's just don't be dumb like that. plus, a bent frame isn't a cheap fix. you learned your lesson, my brother did the same thing. flipped his civic over 3 times... in the mountains... with all the windows open... on a highway... and walked away from it. now he drives a little more conservatively. hopefully your street racing days have taken an indefinite hiatus.

sorry to hear about your friend, also... hey, i just had a thought, george lucas' autobiography "skywalking" has a chapter about when he wrapped an MG or a Triumph or something like that around a tree and the seatbelt broke, which launched him from the car, which actually saved his life. he said if it wasn't for that, he wouldn't be driven enough to be where he is now. i guess all is well that ends well.
