Age old smoke question, but with a twist...
Hey again.
I got a bit of a problem with my 1983 SA, the car starts up and revs nicely, and no smoke whatsoever comes out. However, after about 5 minutes of idling and revs, the car starts to blow a greyish white smoke that becomes more noticeable the longer the engine is on. I thought this could be a shoddy oil cooler, or a radiator, or some kind of cooling problem? Keep in mind that our oil cooler and radiator both arent very good and will be getting replaced soon anyway. Any help greatly appreciated! |
There are two ports in the engine housing that allow coolant to circulate around the intake runners. The intake manifold gasket is leaking, allowing pressurized coolant to enter the intake.
