Aftermarket oil cooler: minimum size?
Hi guys
The oem oil cooler on my 7 is bent.... badly. Does not leak now, but who knows when it might start Tomorrow I will go to a place you can buy parts out of past seasons racecars. A friend got a 3 row setrab oil cooler for dirty cheap and I wanna do the same. But... I need some tips on what to look for. Thanks! PS: should I add an electric fan to it? |
about the same size will do.

Yeah, but the stock one is long and thin. This ones look more like a 3rd gen cooler
|
the stock cooler is better than an aftermarket just get one out of a junkyard and clean it.

I think the problem that david runs into is that he lives in S. America and 7 parts arent just sitting around down there.
That is true though, I have heard that nothing beats a OEM Oil Cooler. I will keep a look out for ya. Ill ask the Local Puerto Rican if hes got one. I would add a fan, I want to do the same. Less underhood noise, and more engine rumble!!! |

My friend sent me the pic of his Setrab. Guys... I dont think the oem is better than that baby

I have an SE cooler. Packed up, I'm going to put it on ebay soon. Pm me if you are intested.
Comes with new fittings and crush washers. I can get a quote on shipping from my office on Monday if need be. Adam |
actually the oem has little pins/needles inside the rows that help conduct heat out and cause turbulance of the oil.
