Adding premix....???

Ok now that the gas octane ? is out of the way.
What about premix for the tank. Just extra insurance against the oil metering pump failing. What kinda oil should I use and at what ratio when filling a gas tank full?
Thanx

use a tcw-3 oil, the kind you can use for fuel injection, its a little cleaner stuff

then i put in an oz for every gallon, im not precise with it, i just figure if i get it close, its good enough ;)

I took off my OMP so i use 8oz of Marvels Mystery oil at every fill up.

FYI I had a problem with my premix.

I got Amsoil premix that was designed for an oil injection system, and it smoked hardcore when the motor was cold. I switched to a PRE-MIX specific type of oil and it stopped smoking completely.

just thought I would add that, but I premix exclusivly, no OMP

This is something I've wondered about. I'm not certain my OMP is working properly, and too lazy/busy to check it out, so I started pre-mix with MMO. One downside I know is that I get smoke on startup. Are there any others, anything real bad associated with OMP + premix?

Just out of curiousity, where are you located at in Indiana? If you live nearby I know someone who could really help you out with first gen stuff. :D Hint hint......
