Accel 300+/MSD to DIS upgrade question
 

Alright, I'll post my whole upgrade soon but what is the purpose in switching the Trailing spark plug wires to the Leading position after the upgrade??? Also do I have to retard or advance the timing???

i think it was somthing like it makes the spark gap closer

less resistance through the cap when placed on the leading connections.

but that makes no sense because then both trailings would fire at the same time like the leading usually does...right??

how would the firing change? its still being controlled by the trailing system; ignitor, coil, wiring, etc. im not the smartest man about this, but i dont see how itd be an issue. i installed a 2nd gen coil in my GSL yesterday and i swapped my trailing to the leading posts on the cap and all i notice is better performance. LOTS of guys do this, so i dont think its an issue.

i realize the trailing ignitor would still fire the same but the way dizzy rotor is set up didn't look like it would fire the same way.

nope keep your timeing the same. switching the T to the L on the cap eliminated one jump in the cap by using the carbon button. And the leading only has wasted spark on direct fire setups. no wasted spark on stock through the dizzy.
