85 GSL-SE Dash Insert Paint Color?
 

I have an 85 GSL-SE with grey interior. The dash insert (the part around the shifter, the ash tray, around the stereo, etc) was showing some wear. I wanted to re-paint it. The aftermarket paint that looked closest at the parts store was a little too light when I tried it. Is there any way of finding out the exact paint color for that area? or is it just guess work? Thanks.

try an automotive paint shop not crap boys or similar parts house. I can post the brand I use tomorrow but they a little bit more expensive

I have two FBs, one with a brown interior and the other with maroon. I think the silvery gold color of the inserts looks OK with the brown, but I think it looks cheesy with the maroon. So I painted the inserts to match the dash and other surrounding parts. My point is that it does not need to be exactly like the original. I think a slightly darker grey would look good with the light grey you have.
