85 gs hard oil line

I am in the process of removing (just finished actually) the beehive oil and coolant cooler and now need to remove the hard line which has two nuts near the front of the motor...similar to a tie rod sleeve setup. Anywho...it looks like i will be needing to support the motor and detach the front left and at least loosen the front right motor mount bracket(s). This will allow access to the nuts much better and allow removal. Any thoughts? It seems like the right path to take...going to do some new motor mounts as well.

I didn't have to lift the motor to get mine out. I have no power steering or A/C to contend with though. I also cut the lines and bent the hard lines where necessary since I was running all new lines and fittings. So if you're trying to preserve everything then you might have to move some stuff. There's a loop that runs out in front of the radiator as well.

I could do the same but I would like to preserve the hard line in case someone else could use it here on the forum. Not to mention it gives me a good excuse to buy some nice motor mounts and clean up the bracket.

I am also looking for a 12a front mount oil cooled oil filter mount setup or ideas. It looks like i need an oil pedastal with 1 inlet and thats it....to replace the portion that went through the oil cooler from the hard line. I would imagine one end of the front mount cooler...one of the lines....mounts where the hard line connected to the motor and the other end where the banjo bolt connected the other end of the hard line (at the old cooler).

So it looks like...from the manual...that the oil leaves the motor from the original hardline location...will pass through the fmoc...then into the filter and through the pedastal. I suppose I will be needing a single inlet oil pedastal
