Bought this from some kid which had it sitting in his driveway for quite some time, after the initial attempt to get her started tried the MMO trick to free up the apex seals, fired right up, but smoked like a sumbitch. Now fires up every time, but after engine gets warm she smokes, plus when driving it seems gutless and won't really go over 40 mph. At first I thought it might be just burning off all that oil I poured in but now I am not sure, it doesnt seem to lose coolant and there is no oil in the coolant or vice versa. Could it be excess fuel? any help would be appreciated.

first thing to do is to drain the gas tank and get the sediment and old gas out of there. next, rebuild the carb, replace the fuel and air filters, change the plugs with some good NGK BR8EQ-14's, get a good set of NGK wires, change the oil and filter, replace the belts and coolant hoses, flush the radiator, inspect and replace the vacuum lines, change the trans and diff oil, and inspect the brakes and suspension bushings. replcae the clutch and brake fluid and you will also want to inspect the clutch hose and the brake hoses. this should give you a good start at what to look into replacing on a 7 thats been sitting.

Ok, I have replaced the oil/filter, air filter, plugs, wires cap and rotor, fuel tank was empty when I bought it, kid said it needed a fuel pump which was wrong all it needed was gas, fuel filter has been changed, as well as coolant. I also changed out the sway bar bushings and links with new, but none of this explains why she smokes.

What color is the smoke, and what does it smell like? That information would really help to narrow down the cause for you. :)

The smoke is white, not a thick white but white nonetheless, it smells like a 2 stroke snowmobile

Any ideas? It is not smoking as bad anymore, I think it was just gunk burning off from inside the exhaust, but what about the no power and not being able to go over 40 mph? carb issue?

Two different issues, probably.

The smoking may be due to oil seal o-rings which took a 'set' while sitting for so long, and are not a flexible as when new, or possibly hard-seal oil rings gunked up a bit and not smoothly moving in their grooves. They may loosen up some as the engine gets cycled. Or they could be worn to the ready-to-replace point... although worn rings are more likely to smoke when cold, and then stop when hot.

The "won't go past 40" symptom is likely secondaries that are not opening, either due to being gunked up & unable to move freely, or due to a vacuum secondary diaphragm that's leaking. Or you could very likely have clogged jets and/or air bleeds in the carb that are preventing adequate fuel flow.
