83 front calipers on my 79 ???

Ok i have a 83 rx7 i am striping down , i am going to use the posi disk brake rear on to replace the non posi drum rear on my 79 . my question is should i use the front end brakes as well ?.. are they better the my 79's?

Yes, the 81+ calipers are easier to change the pads. They are a direct bolt on. The only issue you will run into is the brake line. In 9181 Mazda changed the thread pitch. You can use stainless steel brake lines made with course pitch on chassis side and fine pitch on the caliper side. Or you can use adapters at the chassis side of the stock lines.

You will run into the same issue when using the '83 rear end in your car as well.
