4th to 2nd, Very good or very bad?

I've dropped (as i'm sure almost everyone has) from 5th @ ~4k to 3rd with no problem. The car she takes off like a bat out of hell, but despite this I have some ingrained fear of dropping it from 4th to 2nd, is this justified or is it just the same as 5th to 3rd? (state RPMs and changes if you would)

Oh, and 3rd to 1st if you would be so kind.

If trying to accelerate, I'd say you can drop down as many gears as you need to in order to get back into the powerband. Just don't overshoot the redline when doing so...

Yeah, that's really what I'm wondering. Where going down from 4th to 2nd will put me at in RPMs.

I know that 2nd tops out at roughly 50-55 MPH, so anywhere around 40-45 and you could easily drop to 2nd. I know that I usually am in 4th going 40+.
