My specs are in my sig bellow.
How much more power do you think I would make if I swapped to a 48IDA webber carbie. Would the power difference be that noticeable under acceleration. I am considering doing this or getting a complete bush and suspension kit.

Let me put it this way, you could actually feel it. It would be a noticable difference.

do you think it would be worth doing over the suspension. I could get the carb, manifold and get it tuned for about 1100. I can get the whole suspension redone for 2 grand. What sort of power indcrease would you expect, properly tuned?

why not do both?

Becuase I am a poor Uni student :). I will do both evantually but I can't afford both.

I have a 48 IDA in my 4 port 13b '80 + RB header/dual exahust + streetport.

Dynoed at 168 rwhp WITH a high speed miss (bad plug wires)

With new wires I guess id be up to 200-210 flywheel hp.

I think its a preference, because suspension can be really fun. My friend has a 79 and he just got the IDA set up and he is also doing suspension too. We got front and rear sway bars, all urathane bushings, converting to GSL rear end, ferodo brake pads, hawks in back, tokico's all around, 2 inch springs with replaced lower spring perch for adjustable ride height and lowering, camber caster plates, SS brake lines, Under drive pullys etc. He kinda spent it out big and the car should really handle good. If your 13b is not street ported then my opinion is to go for the suspension. I would try and get your stock carb rebuilt by yaw or someone for a few hundred bux. The IDA is really an ausome setup, but i just dont think in your case it would be worth it without the street port or bridge. I think you would have more fun with the suspension, it depends on how you like to drive. Do you like auto x? drag racing? street racing? or just country roads at high speed?
