215mm vs 225mm????????
Does anyone know how to tell if you have the 215 or 225 flywheel?? Im not sure what I have but I know what I had bought to replace it. I only want to do the clutch job 1 time a yr or 2.
Please give your feedback. I have a 82 with 4 port engine of dont know what yr.. Thanks! |
82 should be the 215mm flywheel, they went to 225 in 83
|
BUT, there is a possibility that they still have the original 215 flywheel. You have to drop the tranny.
|
Just measure it. The 215mm is 8.465"(roughly 8 1/2") and the 225mm is 8.858", just under 9"
|
Is that diamater or radious?
My guess is radious but that is just a guess |
radious
|
So its the radius from the pilot bearing to the outter end?? Thanks for the input. Going out to measure now.....
Radius= 1/2 Diameter right? |
Trannys out....Aluminum flywheel and it had these small spacers between the pressure plate and flywheel..Dont know what they are for.
|
Yes r=1/2d
Yes radius = 1/2 diameter |

Randy,
The differance between the two is that the 225 flywheel is flat and the 215 is recessed. And these measurements are the diameter not the radius. Ryan |
