2 Wrecks in 3 Weeks!

First off...My boy Jon is all right...No injuries...

Some fool suddenly turns left in front of Jon's red 2nd Gen, and Jon T-Bone's 'em...Left front end is pretty well messed up, suspension, fender, etc. Engine is pushed slightly to the left, but it appears not to be damaged which is good as it has only 3000 miles on it....What can you do or say? It's history, so there's no sense in ranting, raving, crying, or moping....Anybody need 2nd gen parts? Maybe I'll fit the leather seats into my SE. It's gotta brand new Apexi N1 cat-back exhaust on it too that was used only for one week. It's a GXL, so it has the wing and electric everything else...What a waste...Oh well, I'm torturing him by not allowing him into either of my Seven's, and he's forced to drive his deceased Grampa's '87 Saab 4-door...He, he, he...

Does anyone know what might possibly be adaptable from a 2nd gen to a 1st gen? Love to fit those 4-pot front calipers to my Se. And I wonder if his short-shifter could be swapped?

Denny, from the 'ol corncrib....

If you find a way to fit the brakes off the 5 lug on your -se you better post how you did it;) I'd love to have that upgrade.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that shifter should fit right in.

I've herd that you can take the FC seats and bolt them right up to your FB slides.

And I'm sorry to hear about teh loss :(

WOW!, I just heard the news this weekend from Paul when he had stopped down, ouch!!
Glad to hear Jon is ok :) Pull the motor and harness and put in the FB!!
and there is a guy in Canada who has done the 4 piston conversion and is working on a bolt in kit for us, just wating for completion.

If the 2nd gen is 86-88, the short throw will fit your 85 -SE.

Hate to hear about any RX laid to rest. I'm sure Jon is hurt emotionally. I know I'd be.:(

2nd gen 4 piston calipers bolt up directly to an 85 se and still use the 4 lug rotors ? or do you need to put the whole breaking system on the car, meaning 5 lug conversion?

Denny, long time, no posting in here for me (my 83 is sitting without its pacemaker--no battery!),

Hate to hawk like a crow on roadkill, but that exhaust is it a single out or a dual out? If its a dual N1, I might want to buy it from ya! How'd the frame of the car hold up? You can get 86-88's with blown drivelines for dirt cheap, might want to consider a swap! Let me know how far your gonna part it out, I am in the need of a daily driver since the GSL is outa order for now!
