1st Gen Radio Wire color codes!!!!!
 

Okay I'm posting this for everyone's help on wiring an aftermarket radio to the stock wiring without using a connecter (aka if someone has removed the connector and your splicing wires). The color codes are as follows:

1985 Mazda RX7 Car Stereo Wiring Diagram

Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: 6 1/2″

Car Audio Front Speakers Size: 4″

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Blue/Red
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Red/Black
Car Radio Ground Wire: Chassis
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Blue/White
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Location: Kick Panels
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Blue/Red
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue/Yellow
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Blue
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue/White
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: Side Panels
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Blue/Red
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue/Green
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Blue/White
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Blue/Green

so the left rear and right rear speakers negative wires are the same color? same with right rear positive and right front negative?

according to the wiring shop manual the colors should be as follows.

LF+ Blue/Green
LF- Blue/ White
RF+ Blue/ Yellow
RF- Blue/ Red

LR+ Blue/Orange
LR- Blue/Red
RR+ Blue/ White
RR- Blue/Black

and plugs should be illumination Red/Green

power antenna Blue/Green

battery constant Blue/yellow

switched power should be solid blue or blue/white
