I need the rear caliper pistons.... any chance that the front ones on rock auto are the same as the rear?

Not very much chance, since I see centric listing a different partno for front and rear. Probably has to do with the parking brake and how it works with the rear calipers. Try AtkinsRotary.

From what I know, GSL and GSL-SE pistons are not available anymore. Same goes for the caliper assembly.

The rear calipers for these cars are very hard to come by now.

Try fleabay. I found a pair of fronts there

I paid $100 for a set of rusty rear GSL-SE calipers. Rock auto has rebuild kits as does Mazdatrix.

After electrolysis and bead blasting.

My only success was also finding used calipers.

They come up for sale every once and a while. At one point I was collecting them. I found a set of GSL-SE with no brackets, sold them. Then bought a complete GSL set from a forum member, and managed to find a complete GSL-SE set locally.
