1984 gsl-se idle
 

So I'm just wondering what's a good idle for my car right noe it idles at around 1500 but it didn't seem right so I idled it down to around 900-1000 but it looks like my throttle position sensor is sticking because every time I Rev it up it goes right back to 1500rpm and when I press down on throttle on engine it'll go down to 900 and stay there ? Any suggestions?

First off - you can only adjust idle speed on an -SE after it's fully warmed up. This is due to the interaction of the fast idle cam on the throttle body rod which bumps up the RPM during cold starts to help the engine/cats/heater warm up more quickly. Once the engine is warmed up, you can take it off the fast idle cam by moving the throttle rods above idle - or just by driving it normally.

Once warm, it should idle at roughly 850-900rpm. Any lower than that and you're likely to get a bit of stumbling, and a little higher is better for smoother throttle response off idle, as when starting from a red light.

Remember that the flat-blade screw on the top of the throttle body before the RE-EGI chamber is an AIR-bleed - not an idle speed adjustment. To adjust idle speed, look to the right of there and down toward the throttle body rods where they go into the throttle body. You'll find a very small, copper-colored flat-blade screw with a lock nut which will allow you to set the throttle body position which adjusts idle. I don't recommend changing your idle mixture adjustment - so unless you already know where that is - and how to do it - probably best to leave it alone for now. It only really affects idle 'quality' which is subjective, and factory set anyway.

its supposed to be 750 +/- 50 rpms when its warmed up
