1984 gsl 12A mod questions.

I fixed my car and got a 650cca battery. It suffers from old fuel in the tank but it's been drained and refilled with 87 pump gas. I have changed Filters also but it looks à little dirty and the fuel lags sometimes(other times it was clean when using a seafoam bottle). Could I buy a gsl-se gas tank with injectors to put on my car? That will remove my problem of dropping the tank to clean, changing filter, and later problems of a fuel pump to change. I have a new spectra external pump installed. I later wanted to add a 13B S-5 port with turbo from a turbo ii project car.
More info:
Tank is from realmazdaparts, brand new, my car doesn't measure the fuel level, could I fix it when installing the new tank? What will I need? It worked fine before the Gas tank was drained, and wondering if the new tank comes with the fuel level sensor inside or if I have to open it.
What requirements does the 12A need for the fuel injected Tank to be installed? I know the -se model and gsl aren't too different so it can fit?
If my ultimative goal was to make the car run on ethanol, fry oil, or hemp, or grease or water or something renewable is it still okay?

The 12a is not fuel injected. It would be a lot of original fabrication and a rebuild on the 12a to
make it work with the EFI.

Fuel level senders can sometimes be fixed, requires removal from the tank and is easier with the
tank removed. The sender is attached to the tank just under the filler tube.

Sounds like you just need to clean the tank, change the filter and verify that the pump is able
to push the gas to the carb at 3 psi and flow about 1/2 gallon a minute. That spectra pump
may be crap.

Why does it need a rebuild? My car has 54k miles. Rotary engines don't need rebuild until 60k miles. That's what I heard. Is an aem 340lph fuel pump good? I also have a fuel pressure regulator up to 5 psi.

Because the 12a has no injector bungs, so minimally you need to swap out the middle iron which
implies a rebuild.

60k miles on a 12a? Man, that would be lucky to even crank. Let me know and I will come down there and take it off your hands if you like!

Fuel injection is over rated anyway.
