1982 RX-7 Won't Start, need help

I own a 1982 Rx-7. It refuses to start. I've replaced the distributor, igniters, cap, rotor, spark plug wires, and had the carb overhauled(sort of). The Carb. was overhauled by a friend who I'm conviced had no idea what he was doing. It only starts when I slam on the gas pedal a couple of times. Is it a carb problem or do I have bad coils?

I am pretty it is the carb. Especially if it starts when you punch it. If you spray some WD40 near the venturi's and then it starts, then it's it.

Either get it rebuilt by somebody competent, go to a Junkyard and get another one, or get an aftermarket one.

Carbs can be the biggest Pain in the @$$ when not dialed in right.

Good luck
