13b running warm.

figured i would post in this section to get the quickest and most replies.
i have a 13b in my te72 that seems to want to run normally and then want to run warm, the temp creeps up and before it gets too hot ill pull over and shut off the car and inspect the engine bay, Ill turn the car back on after say a minute or two and the temp will skyrocket down, e fan turns off(wired to a sensor set to 175 degrees) and then seems to be okay. then once i get driving again the temp creeps up and this repeats until i get home. BUT this does not always happen, yesterday i drove it around for awhile and had 0 issues the entire time. Another thing is after it was warming up today i pulled it in my driveway and after it cooled down a bit i started the car and let it idle until the e fan turned on and lo and behold the e fan would shut off after a minute or so and then the temp will stay nice and low. I am at a loss of words right now of what is happening.
The car has the rear heater core coolant passage blocked off on the rear iron if that makes a difference.

Does the E-fan draw air across your oil cooler?

What kind of oil cooler lines are you using? Collapsed or kinked?

What kind of water hoses are you using, are they old? Same thing collapsed or kinked? You can shove a spring in a hose to keep it from collapsing.

Yeah I think Qingdao is one to something there. Rotarys get at least 50% of their cooling from the oil cooler. So make sure its getting air and has good hoses.

I may have to change where the oil cooler sits then. It is behind the grille almost behind the bumper sitting about the bottom half of the radiator.

I changed the thermostat since then, i had used a thermostat for a 12a rx7 and had replaced it with the smaller style for a rx4 13b.
