**Need help**

I'm purchasing a '85 GSL-SE. The only problem is that the starter is gone, would anybody know if the starter on a 12A fit the 13B. I've searched the website and read over 10 threads on starters, but nothing! Thanks:icon_tup:

I think they are compatible 82-85 but are standard vs automatic trans specific. But before you go off thinking Im smart, I just looked it up in the black dragon catalog....

Well, I called black dragon auto, and the female there was very helpful! Although, she wasn't sure. I'm going to just try to get ahold of a 5 speed 82-85 12A or 13B starter. nice looking out:icon_tup:
My only problem is that I just moved here to texas and need a car. Found a FB3S SE, but cant really find any starters around my area! So, if anybody lives close to DFW, i would be willing to purchase a starter from you or if you can hook it up, just let me know. Any help would really be appreciated.

Actually I think I have 2 spare starters but shipping would be more than I would probably charge for the part. Let me find my spares and maybe see about testing them this weekend.... (all of my starters are off SE's).

12A or 13B starter will work. Autos won't.

I just have to chime in since this is a TX thread. I don't have a starter, and I'm in Austin so I think my post is useless.
