***84SE Front windsheild glass. Anyone ever remove?***

has anyone done this procedure before?

What tools did you use?
Where to get the tools?
How long did it take?

All the moldings are off already. The glass just needs to be seperated from the glue.

Also both of the side glasses.

Anyone?

getting it done professionally is as much as the glass it self.

I have never done it before, but the proceedure is described in the FSM, Chapter 14. The link to the FSM is:

Hope this helps some.

Are you replacing it?

If so I'd get it done professionally, it's worth a few extra bucks.

It's a royal P.I.T.A. to replace a windsheild yourself and have it not leak...

yeah, i had to replace it on the wagon...

I thought I had it perfect; grinded it down to bare metal all around, primerd it, and sanded it smooth. then put a perfect line of sealant all around...,.,the only flaw was it had a stone chip, so I called autoglass specialist to come out and fix it,,,. and while he was, CRAACCKK hes all like "oops!" roughly 10 hours down the tube...anyway he fixed the crack, but it grew after that and sprouted others,.,.,.

:peace:

Yeah my windshield has two or three spots where rocks smacked it. One disadvantage to having a low car.
