I have an 1980 Rx7 that was own by the second owner since 1985 until about 2 months ago I brought from him and fixed a little to get it running. Anyhow the car is in mint condition inside and outside it was repainted in mazda white instead of it's original silver, It has aftermarket moonroof, Ansa dual tip exhaust main cat, RB headers, 4 star rims is like new, new slave clynider, new brakes, Rear disc conversion, Le bra 2 peice desgin And I am planning to installed maganor 8.5 wires, msd coils, plus adding a cd head unit and new speakers all around. Also engine is solid. Thanks, Khris

My '85 GSL-SE cost me $3,000 CDN and is in perfect condition, the speedo cable was broken and it still had the stock muffler on. Other than that, the chasis had 265,000 kms on it and the engine, tranny, and rear-diff had been overhauld 10k prior.

I've since got a new speedo cable, put a 2 1/4" exhaust setup on and a new starter motor as the old one puttered out. It's a streetported 6 port 13b w/ racingbeat header, the exhaust I added and a K&N cone filter I added. It goes like a bat out of hell.

I imagine I could turn around and sell it for 4~5k CDN.

Bottom line, its your baby, if its worth 3k to you, try and get 3k for it.

yeah man, try and get 3k, if it dont work out for you, get what you can. i paid 4k for my 79 S last year. it was stock as a rock but it only had 38600 miles on it and was in perfect shape, so i wanted it $4k bad. its all about someone wanting it enough.

I paid $200 for my GSL that runs like a bat from hell. Of course the interior is shot and several minor things did not work. After spending about 80 bucks at junk yard most everything works. Now the interior is getting gutted for a full time track car.

Sorry I know this does not help in the slightest. If the car is is great shape, then the market may pay that.

Hey thanks guy I brought the car in hope of keeping because it's most orginal I ever seen very clean. But my damn wife wants me to sell it because I already have a Toruing 3rd gen. She think I will turn my house into a Sanford & Son place oh well, man I had so much spare parts other stuff that I want to put on the car. I try to post pictures this weekend and also streetracer the only part that did not get paint was the engine compartment whcih I was looking at today I notice the painter paint little into the strut well and inside the hood was painted too so it really does not look that bad.

How many miles? That, and the condition of the body determine the price. If it's over 80,000 miles, 3K is too high...
