CA wrecked '83, yours?

someone wrecked an rx7 near my home town, my car has been down for awhile needing a rebuild and a buddy who drives tow-truck here picked up a guy who wrecked his rx7 in Klamath, CA. The wreck was on Sunday, it's a black rx7, 13B, weber carb, header (not sure of brand), looks like RB springs and KYB shocks, aftermarket body pieces all the way around. Anyways...i ended up with the car, if it's one of your guys' let me know, i have some questions about the car.

What city do you live in and what do you want to do with the wrecked Seven?

I have a grey 1982 RX7 that has a 12A ended up in a front end collisions, but everything but the radiator and frame are fucked. I may end up just using the tranny and some parts from the car, the rest needs to go eventually so let me know what you need it for?

Here is the thread on it :https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...light=its+dead

I would say just post it here so we know what you want in case someone else has something that fits your needs?

i don't want anything, i just wanted to know who's car it was. i'd like to know what exactly the specs are on this engine. I'd imagine it's ported quite a bit, the idle is set to like 1200-1400 but it was only running for a few seconds, i'm pulling the engine and trans now, gonna take the RB springs, it has full RB race exhaust (the primary tubes on that header are monstrous) but the engine seems to be a pretty fresh built one, all the accessories are brand new. I do have a question about the ignition, because my car is points type ('79) and this one is not, it's a 4 port 13B, is there anything i may need to snag to get it runnin' right?

I don't get it, Did the PO sell it to you? It would seem that with how much was invested in it someone would be looking to make a little profit from it. It would seem all that would have been answered though if you talked to the PO beforehand.

the guy didn't have a place to store the car, he was 300 miles from home, he wanted to get a couple hundred bucks for it, my buddy (the tow-truck driver) was broke, the guy didn't have any options really, so he traded the car for a ride an hour away to the airport. My buddy knew my car had been down, stopped byt o see if i was interested...that's the story.
