Where to buy turn signal relay?
I need a turn signal relay for my 83 GS, anyone got a good source online or anything? The dealer can get it but its a lot of cash from them. Thanks for the help.

You can check mazdatrix or black dragon. What about trying parts stores.

I tried all my local suppliers and I dont think they have the right one. They keep trying to give me a standard flasher. Im not exactly sure what the one in the car looks like. Ill check my Black Dragon catalog tomorrow.

Apparently black dragon doesnt have it. Mazdatrix is showing tht this is what I need but I dont see anything under the dash that looks like it.
http://www.mazdatrix.com/pictures/o-...asherrelay.jpg Is that what I need? 67-5770-FA02 Thats the part number Mazdatrix lists for it. |
Get yourself a used 'CPU'. It is a box just above the dead pedal and has the flasher inside. I have some pics of what the falsher and CPU looks like. Try searching for 'CPU' under posts by me. You should be able to find it. The actual flasher does look something like that. I bet you could get the whole CPU for cheap at a JY or the forum.
The CPU also controls the door chime, seat belt light, and a buch of other stuff too. |
Here you go:

Thanks man. I found the module and wiggled the 17 pin connector goin into it and the turn signals started working. Any time I bumped it though they stopped working again. I pulled it out of the car and took the CPU apart cause I sa a thread where someone said to solder the pin connector back onto the board. From what I can see all the connections are solid, do I have to take the portion with the pins in it off the board and the resolder the whole thing back on? Thanks much
EDIT Put the CPU back together and put it back in the car and everything seems to be working now. I guess it was just a bad or loose connection. Thanks very much for the help. |
You might be able to just re-heat the current solder joints and add some solder as needed. There also may be a broken pin in the connector (pin to board connection). Or might be a poor connection from the connector (wiring side) to the connector on the board.
Sounds like you found the problem. Now you just need to fix it. :) |
Yes I know I'm bringing a thread back from the dead but...
it didn't answer the question I had: Where can you get a replacement signal light relay *other* than a junk yard (the junk yards around here cube cars > 10yrs old) And if anyone knows, where can you get a replacement for the fuel pump relay? I need both of these for my car since they blew when I had an electrical surge caused by a bad voltage reg in my alt. Jon |
