Spring Time Already?!
 
Spring arrived at my doorstep today :). Can't wait to whack these in with Tokico Blues, and a whole bunch of bushings.

I think you'll really love the way the car performs after the new spring and shock install! Did you buy the shocks new as well or are they already on the car?

Ye, *really* itching to switch over from the stock springs and what must be the original shocks. I've been accumulating the suspension parts for the last couple months. I just replace the older stock tires with Federal SS595 in 205/60 13. The old tires had a vibration that just would not balance out. The new tires alone brought me right back to my old black 83 GS that I had from 86 to 91. Such a fun car.

-New Blues and RB Springs
-Front and rear sway bar bushings and links.
-Front control arm and tension rod bushings.

The bushings are the black poly stuff from Energy Suspension. I'm just gonna leave the Watts link bushings alone...not good with very heavy things like axles and they appear to be ok.

Any pro tips, especially regarding the rear? Never done this before but I've been reading and re-reading how-to threads here. This one's good for the front.

I'm planning to rotate the top mounts inward 90° to adjust the camber a bit.

Those Tanabe's? I just put the same setup on my FC. Going from OEM suspension, i love em.

That looks really nice, hell the colors alone make me happy.

Mine are for the FB from Racing Beat, no coilovers just replacing the stock stuff in the stock places.

I put the polys on the rear sway bar links and the watts linkage but didn't touch the rear links as
they tend to bind with stiffer bushings. You may want to rethink dong the watts, it will make the
car feel more planted on sweepers.

I do like sweepers. So I read the FSM for the Watts and maybe I was making more out the removal than I ought to- it looks pretty straight forward.

New Mazda OEM links ($$$ yikes) versus poly...seems like there's 2 camps. You obviously like your setup, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the binding. Ever experience any weird handling surprises? Mazdatrix seems to warn away from poly but then they also sell the kit.
