OK, You just won $50k in the Lotto. You've paid $15 in tax, so there's $35,000 left. You still own your daily driver.... what car would you buy?

I'd keep my 1st gen of course, but would consider, in no particular order:

1. Shelby Cobra replicar (427 body, but small block engine).
2. Prowler (99 or later with the 260 hp engine).
3. 67 Vette convertible (just stylin' in the coolest car ever made).

Tax is 45% so you'd get ~$27,500.
I'd probably deck out my first gen and make it around 400hp.

Hmm... Lets see $35,000?

Well about 6-10 grand for the crashed RX8 from an insurance company. (lower if I find a good deal like that 2007 with 4074 miles and the auction closed at 6 )

Then probably a good 3-4k for the turbo & intercooler set-up another grand or so for a new oil cooler and radiator, another grand for the body kit, a couple hundred for the framing metal, and donor FB front end to weld on from the firewall foreward. about $500-1000 for custom HID pop-ups and converting all lights to LEDs, 2k for the Defi Blue Racer Gauges. Another $2000 for 17" rims with 255/40/17 Falken F425's on them. About another 500 or so for a good 3" exhaust; about 8k for the Teins in front and the Ford 9" or maybe larger in back with good shocks and springs, another 2k for Sparrco Racing Seats and 4 Point Racing harness, On last grand for the sound system/information system for the engine, car, ect.

And last but not least a couple grand for a New Mac Air with Leopard and all the stuff i will need for Industrial Design...

Leaves me with about 2k to play with!

Of course these are just rough estimates, actual prices may vary.

I'd buy a section for the forum that was just for things not directly related to technical questions about RX7s...

Are you coming to the meet in Holland this Saturday?

A bunch of first gens.

And a Nova or early Chevelle/Malibu. Maybe skip all that and build a personal shop.

I would pay someone to do all my bodywork and respray my FB in my OEM color, Tornado Silver. A streetported 13B-REW with a GT35R, GSL-SE rear end, and a set of sportmax 002's. The rest would go towards a house with a garage.
