selectmaz group c body kit discontinued...other suppliers?

received a sad email from selectmaz today that they no longer produce the fb rx7 group c kit. are there any other companies that make one or a replica?

There is a company down here that makes the fender flares.

They are not cheap.

Give me a few days to chase up who they are.

eprx799 02-04-13 02:12 PM

are you looking for a wide body kit or flairs?

sukimoto 02-04-13 02:15 PM

i am looking specifically for the group c style wide body flares and lip. not mariah, not the little bubble flares

eprx799 02-04-13 02:23 PM

ok I have the ISC racing flairs which are full fender flairs and front bumper replacement.

There's a CP racing wide body kit for sale in the 1st gen parts section that's never been installed....that should be wide enough for you

Back at work tomorrow, been on holidays, will have the website for you then...

Farkin typical.

I was flipping through the usual car magazines at work only 2 weeks ago, and noticed a new advert from a company saying they now do these flares.

Of course, now I can't find the advert!... I will keep looking though.

In the meantime, try contacting these two companies, they list the flares on their websites:

i already contacted fibremaster, they don't ship to usa.

waiting to hear from the other. thanks

lx_machado 02-07-13 06:44 AM

Its a shame most of these fiberglass company's do not ship to the USA. I am sure you can contact a member on here or on AusRotary that would help you with shipping.

WAS:12A hint hint :):)

Always happy to help with organising postage if it comes down to that....

Oh I am sure they would ship to the US if it was worth their while. However if they have to figure the cost to ship one large kit and with the differing cost throughout the US it becomes a very large hassle. Now if 3 or 4 of us wanted the kit and they could all be shipped to one location say Atlanta GA and a Mazda business then it might happen but it would probably have to be cash up front, and then it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get them here if they are ready to go in stock.

any luck on this kit here in the states?

WANKfactor 05-27-14 05:31 AM

Selectmaz were getting their fiberglass from paul at Ezyglass here in melbourne. Dont know if he's ever exported anything but he's the guy with the molds.

Check black dragon auto... I was looking through the catalog yesterday that I last received and I seen the whole kit in there for sale.

I know, old dead thread revival. This was the only thread i saw regarding a wing with an oil cooler in it for purchase. The other threads i found searching mentioned the being used in Group B. Does anyone know where i can buy those wings with the oil coolers in them?
I have a lot going on in my front bumper with my future air to water intercooler setup. I don't mind running some large hoses out to the back.

There's a more recent thread pertaining to the Group B body. Find/make a friend that speaks French and get one from Team SMG.
Their facebook page has some videos of them and customers competing in classic rallies.
