RX7 garden of Eden?

Hey everyone:D maybe someone from the Washington/ Oregon area can help me out.

Has anyone from or near spanaway ever heard of a huge collection of rx7s surround by fence? A hood friend said that there almost certain that they saw like 30 or more! My question is does this place actually exist? Or places like it around Washington/oregon? Thanks!:D

This place looks like it has potential...

Jeff20B 12-29-11 11:29 AM

It does exist. I've never been there, but I'm aware of it.

rotarydude 12-29-11 11:41 AM

Yep I have actually been there and seen it. Jeff knows what he has I haven't talked with him in probably 8 years. Don't ever mention his name to anyone at Atkins there is a lot of bad blood between the two of them. It definately won't win you friends on either side. Many of the cars are parts cars but he used to have the decent ones out front for sale. Again he knows what he has and what it is worth. The best way to treat Jeff is come in with honest questions, cash in hand and don't lowball him. Give him a fair price and he is a fair person, I have never known him to be otherwise.

if there is an Rx7 garden of eden i want to be there!

BTW i see yellow! which means its an SA, i covet a yellow SA...

RotaryEvolution 12-29-11 12:26 PM

there is a place in arlington texas called Mr mazda. there is no business that pops up under a search but i see him selling thousands of parts on ebay so he must have a decent lot of parted out rotaries. everything from 1st gens to jspec clips to RX8 parts. some prices are reasonable others junk like some crap rotor housings.

Been there, was driving by on a lunch break and screeched into a u-turn to come back and go in. Nice enough guy, chatted at least 45 mins and let me walk around the entire yard. Lots of great looking 7's, many with racing colors still intact. Pricing is not cheap, he knows his stuff, he's been doing it a LONG time. I was checking out a nice 3pc rear spoiler but never went back to get it. I think he was saying $60 for a compression test (don't quote me on that price, it's been awhile)

Snapped a couple pics.

twinkletoes 12-30-11 11:38 PM

 Damnn!! I want to go!

RotaryEvolution 12-30-11 11:40 PM

they all look fairly complete too. i wonder what he really plans on doing with a fleet of 7's...

An army for the war against pistons?

this place looks like heaven, and it looks like he has a lot of chassis to sell though not many Fds (not surprising) the surprising thing is the lack of Fcs, i would expect them to out number the first gens.. at least a little.. but i only see a few in the pics..

i wish i lived near there, i would just hang out there and frolic (yes i said frolic, no im not :gayboy:) in the beautiful Rx7 gardens of heaven..

Jhereg 12-31-11 01:16 AM

I believe one of his businesses is renting them out for racing.

mazdaverx713b 12-31-11 03:32 AM

who in their right mind would collect FC's and FD's?

Jibaro 12A 12-31-11 02:01 PM

I've bought a few parts of him before through CL. Like it was stated before he does know what he has and what its worth

Who wouldn't? Fds will be very valuable someday in the not so distant future, and Fcs will always need parts, especially if they get more popular as drift cars..

Uh you mean this guy...... well I heard voices..... build it and they will come..... I did and the only ones who came were code enforcement..... LOL

I have always said come we'll give the nickle tour and only charge a quarter.

No he(we) doesn't have 100s, 100 ok but not hundreds that would be crazy. In my defense the salavage yard calls and says you buy or we crush it. Once they are crushed they are gone.

The collection is ONLY about 40 cars the rest are parts or projects for someone else just bring $$

breez33 02-26-12 10:17 PM

I have stopped here a couple times. The guy is really nice. He use to rent out rx7's since it got to expensive he rents and races (I think wwscc.org type racing) MX5's now. He may still race his rx'7 from time to time. He does rebuild rx7 engines and seems to have some new rotor housing that are not made anymore supposedly (supposedly because I didn't fact check this, just something he told me). He did help me out in a bind, I had a bad knuckle with a ton of play and most places wanted 1500 to replace. he did it for around 250.

breez33 02-26-12 10:21 PM

forgot to post his website and address so you can check him out from google maps. 13815 Canyon Road East, South Hill, Washington, United States
http://mazdamanor.com/ <------ his site

Twilightoptics 02-28-12 05:20 PM

I bought a radiator from him and have picked his brain several times. VERY old school mentality. He rents out race cars. Miata and FB heavy. A little FC in there.

777CheekZ 03-17-12 11:50 AM

i put the picture of the google maps of his place as my background <3 i need to go there!!!!!

wesmcbride 07-26-12 05:49 PM

I went there this past weekend! I was in the Seattle area for a wedding and made a pit stop there to check it out. Jeff is a pretty cool guy. He has a ton of FBs along with a few FCs. Got his card and talked about getting some of the items I "need."
