Running Rich & Lean???

So I replaced my plugs to day and my leading plugs were black and gummy. My trailing plugs were tan/white. Is this a timing problem?
I did run sea foam in the carb but doubt this would account for this. how should I fix this.

I would say make sure your leading wires are really going towards the leading plugs. That looks ass backwards. Trailing is usually a little darker than leading but not buy that much. ah to hell you dont need trailing :)

Might be the problem. I had a service shop do the work last time. I'll check it out.

Ok I feel like an idiot. The trailing is the oily one and the leading is the tan one. The wires were/are one the right plugs. But my problem still remains.

There is a large discrepancy between the leading and trailing plugs. what is my correct course of action?

What's your usual driving mix (city/highway/insane?)

One step hotter on the trailings might help keep them cleaner, if you do a lot of stop & go.

You might want to clean out the trailing plug wells before reinstalling, too. The tiny firing port might be pretty gummed up.

you what he said and since you seafoamed the motor all the carbon shit could have plugged the hole its a small hole too.

Also verify trailing timing.
