Rotor Alternator Pully

3 Attachment(s)
I was looking through the 3rd gen. section and I saw the purple Rotor and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Does anyone know where I can find one?
Or if will even fit my 79 Rx7?
I own a Mazdaspeed rotor oil cap and I thought this would be a cool addition to my car.

that is pretty cool. Umm from what i understand they 3rd gen alt's are a little bit forward or aft of where ours sit so i dont think it will directly work. Japan2LA sells a pully specifically made to put a 3rd gen alt on a 1st gen. But i am not 100%

Ah, I see. So due to that slight alteration in the placement of the alternator the belt might not align like it should. Also I'll take it that due to the need for more power in the 3rd gen Rx7's that rotor pulley will be milled differently rendering it useless to my stock 79.
Does anyone know where I can still find it?

The rotor pulley you show is for a serpentine belt system, your 79 runs a v-belt, so even if you found that pulley you would have some belt issues to deal with....

would it work on a Turbo II?

3gen pully is bigger.....will not fit

Lots misinformation here:

1. FD3S uses serpentine belt, so those pulleys cant work on any V-belt style car (ie SA, FB, FC).
2. The pictured Alternator pulley is oversized which means this pulley set is designed to underdrive the alternator. Not a great idea for a street car, yet these do look well made.
3. FD 100 amp alternator can be used on SA, FB, FC, yet you need a custom pulley to switch it over to V-belt. I make a pulley for this swap.

There is a thread in both the 1st gen and 2nd gen F.S. section with the pulley I manufacture.
