Rotary adapter for engine stand?
 

Has anyone else had any problems with the Engine stand adapter from Atkins Rotary? I was finally ready to bolt the 12A to the stand with the adapter and none of the holes lined up with the AC studs. No matter what position we put it in we couldn't get them to line up. Anybody else have anything else similar happen to you? It irritated me more than usual only because I had fought with the motor to get it into my basement(narrowsteep stairs) and fought with my lift in my narrow basement to try and get it turned around to try and put it on the stand. My night has been a big bust. Hope everyone else is well.

ok I have to ask what 2 holes are you trying to use..plus I will look into it here on my ens and go from there.

EDIT: Got the pictures. I have circled the holes which I wanted to use with the studs. I tried every combination though with the holes and studs, nothing worked. The ones circled was the closest, only a few MM off. If I'm just plain retarded and have it mounted wrong don't feel bad about calling me a dumbass LOL

It gets bolted to the front iron only. The rear circled stud on the engine pic plus run a bolt into the hole just above it (or use a stud and nut) and the two aotehr just above them. This is what I do on 13B blocks.

the holes on the adapter lines up to the studs/ stud bosses on the front plate. DO NOT attach it to the front cover.
For the holes, you need to use bolts into the front plate

Anybody know what size bolt would go in there? And an easy way to get the studs out of the front cover? I wasn't thinking clearly the night I was trying to do this as I was pissed off from nothing going right LOL

If it's the same as that on an 13B then M12x1.5

Best way is with a stud remover. If you don't have one use the double nut technique.

use the stud on the iron and then use one of the short bolts for the bellhousing with a spacer and you can use the top bolt hole on the front castiron..

BTY I wont call you a dumbass as that would not be nice not only that just about every person I have hired over the years when thay put the first engine on the stand to tare down thay would want to use the front cover...

if you need a stud let me know and I dont have a problem in shipping one out to you...

Hey Sean what's happening man? ALot of shit went on with me being away LOL. I've been back in town since late June. The 12A that was in my FB is the one I'm going to rebuild which is the one shown. She spit a piece of seal in late April and I still drove it daily til mid June LOL. Drove it around some even after we got back until I picked up the FC off Jon. Dan, I'll try and see if I can get a bolt on there and if no luck I'll take you up on that offer. Thanks alot guys!
