Dose anyone knows what's the price for the rear carpet in the trunk covering the taillights. Like how much they go used?

Good luck on finding those. Been looking for that for over 5yrs.

They can be tough to find in good condition. I've seen fellow forum members make their own as replacements in good condition can be difficult to find. If I had a nice one, I would personally list it for $50 shipped.

Your best bet is to take your current trim piece to a local auto interior or upholstery shop, they can use it a a template and make you a new one. Finding one in decent shape as mazdaverx713 stated is unlikely. I have a link as an example below in Huntsville, AL but I don't know where exactly but it's what you need to find in your particular area, good luck.

@Seniorchief thank you so much that's what I might end up doing.

No problem Cocoa21, as the years roll by it's becoming harder and harder to try and restore older RX7's. Parts are hard to find, if not non-existent, and if your lucky enough to find what you need the prices can be take you breath away. Hope you find a shop in your area that can help you out.

Those rear carpet sections look nice! Do you have a link or any contact information for the person making and selling them?

I will post a picture when they arrive and will give a review if they are worth it.

Will definitely look forward to seeing pictures of the carpet and hearing your review of the carpet. I need the rear carpets for my 84 GSL-SE that I'm restoring. Would be nice to have a new section.

The cut was way off from the oem. I told the seller he said he will try to improve his production.

Earlier this year, for one of my SA projects, I did exactly what the Chief already said. Took the original to a local upholstery shop. The biggest obstacle for me was finding a good color match in a smaller quantity. Seems it boils down to one big supplier that everyone uses and they no longer sell by the yard. Would have needed to buy a whole roll but the shop called around and found an old remnant that was big enough. Cost me $250 for two. Mounts the same as the original and I'll attach the 2 snaps at time of install.

They were supposed to surge (stitch) the outside per the original, but instead just sewed a thin cover of vinyl around the edge. Said the material was too thin to surge or some such. Shouldn't make a huge difference in the final presentation.

From the looks, you might be able to take them both to an upholster and have them cut that center radius into more of an OEM angular cut out that fits around your plastic cover better and re sew the edge.

Rear Deck Mat

I contacted Hector Berrios (thanks to Cocoa21) via text (not a facebook kind of guy) and managed to order (utilizing Google translate due to the fact I'm not bilingual) a rear deck mat from him. I received it this week and I'm extremely happy with the construction, color and fit of this mat, I have looked for years to find a solution to the rear deck area that didn't involve "re-carpeting the car. I replaced my rear carpet back in 2006 with a temp piece that was adequate but not what I was really looking for, this piece really works for me and I believe in talking to Cocoa21 the current problems with the rear piece he ordered will be addressed going forward. I think the photos speak for themselves.
