nrg steering wheel question

does anyone with an fb have an nrg steering wheel installed?
if so
how hard was it to install?
did you use the quick release lock system as well?
how far off is it from the stock location?
is it a pain in the ass to use when slowly driving (if you don't have powersteering nor a rack and pinion steering setup?)

i've got a 290mm wheel and its fairly easy to turn... i'm thinking about upgrading to nrg

This is my Momo Mod 78 350mm suede wheel. I absolutely love it.

Took me about 20 minutes to install.

Johnfoothill did installing the new wheel help in turning at slower speeds even without powersteering

foothill 03-25-10 02:33 AM

To be honest I did not notice any real difference in performance at any speed.

I have a 320mm momo "race" steering wheel in my car, the steering is deffinately harder at slow speed but I also have 255/40/17 tires up front.

haha yea i bet the tires make a hell of a difference i'm just running 195/60/14 tires so i don't think mine should change too much but im just wondering because i have a good bit of play in the steering right now i need to hurry up and get the strut bar and maybe some new tie rod ends

I had a 350mm MoMo wheel in my old FB. No issues.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but that is not suede, it is Alcantara which is a man-made material. Nothing wrong with that, but there is no suede involved.

Can you take a picture from the side? I would like to see how far it sticks out.

This is the only side view shot I have Fox. Thought it was suede, but I am fine with it being Alcantera too.
