My poor Rexie almost got stolen

I must say its great to have good neighbors. I have had my Rx parked in his yard for a week due to some work he is doing to it. Just got finished with it today and some out of state car pulls into our private right of way and pulls up next to the Rx staring at it. So my neighbor sees this and runs out to confront them and they whipped around and sped out. Luckily he let me put it in his garage for a bit. Sucks when you have to start worrying about you car due to some assholes trying to possibly steal it.

Yeah, a nice peacemaker pistol sounds like a good idea for any who tresspass. I might just go and get my carry and conceil licence and purchase a gun for said instances. I'm just gonna keep her locked up for a while in the meantime.

I hate to hear that happen to ya. I keep mine in the garage until I can afford a cover for it. Until
then, I have a fuel pump switch (hidden) and an ignition switch. If he/she finds the ignition
switch, they can make it down the street before the fuel runs out. If all else fails, I have the
e-fan switch as well, so it will overheat :(. Better to overheat and rebuild than stolen and never
seen again.

Also, push button starter (hidden) FTW. You can hook any of the switches up to a relay with
a relayed ground. I know of someone who had one in an old 240, where you touch 2 screws
and the starter would engage, I assume this is how it was done.

+1 I have a cut off for pwr, ign, fuel, fan, and to the starter becasue i have a push start. Also the cameras recording to my cpu hd (Paranoid Parents) and my nice 12 gauge Comforts me. I have had this happen to me twice a car with a couple suspicous looking guys with out of state plates stop next to my house and walk right up to my car! It shocks the hell out of me though because I live on a dead end right across from the police station! I mean realy who is that stupid  ? But also luckily for me I have very nosey and paranoid neighbors who always notice cars that arent from the neighborhood and freak out.

When I lived in Middletown Connecticut back in 1989, I bought a very nice 1985 GSL-SE. I went out to drive to work one day and my car was gone. I had owned it 30 days to the day. The police found it in Bridgeport CT stripped of everything you could take off the car sitting on blocks along side the sidewalk. The insulting part was that later that day I got the new title to the car in the mail. I did make out in insurance though. Paid $5150 and got over $8,000. I still wish I had that car.

Wow that sucks and it was found in my home town, it was a lot worse back then especialy when father panic was still around. Its sad and im ashamed but it was probly a rican who stole it vey common in the area back then I remember when they stripped my moms monte (g-body) down also left it on blocks but right in front of our apartment. Ironic i never realy realised how many rotary powered cars are actualy in Bridegport, Ct theres a pretty good amount probly cuz us ricans have the highest population out there see one evry time I go (rotary not rican  ) saw a nice 12a swapd b2000 last time i was at seaside park! Guess the name fits perfectly!!

yea, thats not too surpising to here that somones rotary was found striped in bridgeport. my fathers nabor had his 83 stolen and they found it down there. lucky my fathers 79 wasnt taken

+1 to CHiNO84gs, everything i have herd about father panic village has been that it was the wost of the worst. the bridgeport police even has a writen document saything they would not go to father panic without at least 3 squad cars together.

jbn7474 08-22-10 01:10 PM

Yes it definately sucks to get something stolen. Especially when you put time and money into it and then gone. Unfortunately we live in desperate times and people are out looking for quick ways to make cash off the backs of people who are honest and work hard for what they have. I'm just glad I have good neighbors that look out for each other here.

Sorry for thread jacking!

It deff was the worst pj's in bpt exactly why they tore it down the majority of homicides in bpt at that time hapend in father panic! I wasnt around for it but both my parrents grew up there! when I still lived in bpt i spent most of my time in the terrace and hollow up till i was 16 and i lost about an average of 10 friends evry year durring the summer starting from about age 13 so i cant even imagine what it was like back then. I consider myself lucky we moved and i didnt end up like alot of my friends. It ashame how many people go before even getting a chance to realy live! Rip Posta, Shoddy Roc, Dex, Chris ,Denny, Carlos, Tavon, Angel, Jerome, And every one else I Knew In curriale elementry and BHS Class of 08!!! (all were younger than 18) :sadwavey:

The best burglar alarm in the world,
is the sound of a burglar, screaming.
