It was meant to be a joke. After the car gets tuned in November, it's going under the knife for a minitub.

You coming in November to watch some tuning?

Viking War Hammer 10-04-08 04:41 PM

they're 13.1 inches wide, 28 inch tall

Jeezus 10-04-08 04:50 PM

Are you going to run adapters or different axles?

Planning on paving some roads with those steamrollers??

ray green 10-04-08 06:51 PM

Put some of those on the front and you'll have an amphibian.

Looks to be about the right size for wheel stands, have fun with them. Check my writeup in the archives for cutting out the fender flares, for the tub, you're on your own. Are those the ReSpeed axles and what size are the wheels and tires?

nope, not re speed........... ordered them straight from moser........

wheel size is 15X10 with a 3 inch backspace. Tires are 325/50/15 MT Drag Radials. They're 13.1 inches wide and 28 inches tall.

Glad it was a joke -- I was getting worried.

Yes -- I'll be there if I'm in town. I've heard so much about Steve Kan I'd like to meet him . . . and you, too.

Right, it's pretty much going to sit like this ......... but high enough to drive on the street.

you need bigger wheels, too small :)

trochoid 10-04-08 10:39 PM

Very nice work to support some serious hp. More details on the rear end please. I'm getting ready to install 15X10 rims, waiting on the ReSpeed Moser axles so I can mount the the 5X114.3 bolt pattern.

ray green 10-05-08 04:36 AM

Eric, I think your new tires are pretty funny. I appreciate the time you took to post your pictures and share your work. Even if I don't fully understand it!

Dan_s_young 10-05-08 02:10 PM

Looking great. Gotta love the big meats on the back. :) I have 315's in the rear right now (on 17x12 CCW's) but I am seriously considering getting some drag rims/tires, possibaly some 15x15 diamond racing wheels with some MT slicks. I'm really loving the drag car look with the stock body lines, and the tubbed wheel wells. Amazing fabrication work you are doing, really need to get into welding more...

What type of rims are those that you are running?

Thanks man..... they're Holeshot Wheels.......

ray green 10-05-08 05:20 PM

Doc, you're always one step ahead of me. Nice work!

Although if he could use those things to make a 7 float it would belong back in the tech section.

 I'd love to see how fast that thing could float across the water when its done.

Viking War Hammer 10-06-08 11:57 AM

Guys, the tires aren't THAT big. These are the same tires that most of the supra guys run.

sunburn 10-06-08 12:07 PM
