Introducing myself.

Hey everybody.

I have been lurking around her for a couple weeks.
I have been in the market for a sports car that I can truly call my own.

I had been considering Supras, Zs, and 7s
After a lot of reading I have decided that a 1st Gen RX-7 is what I am looking for.
There seems to be a lot of helpful mature people on the board here.

I come from a VW community, MK2 to be specific, and I am used to a family like atmosphere. We get into arguments but all is resolved civilly. (SP?!?)

I am in Ontario Canada so the hunt for a rust free 7 is out of the question. Even a pretty good 7 is hard to come by. In this particular case, patience is a virtue.
I do have plans to completely strip the car and bring it back to "new like" condition. Just, body-work and me dont really get along.

I am really writing this to get my post count up so that I have full priviledges when the day comes that I have a car to show pics of.

See you all around....and please be gentle.

LOL!!

Welcome to the family. Lots of good info here as well as some pretty intense discussions. Just remember that everyone here has an opinion and way of doing things, and sometimes others don't agree. But for the most part we are a great family. Some of the best heated discussions surround the question of putting v8's in rx7's and wether or not it upsets the balance. Don't be afraid to voice your opinion. We really encourage good information sharing, and don't really care for flaming although it happens a bit.

Later,
Bill

BTW, be on the look out for members by the name of Trochoid and wackyracer. Both are into inhaling fumes from their old school rides, so the information they present may be a tad off..........by about 500 years. :rlaugh:

Thanks for the welcome guys.

With the Jetta I am used to having nothing left for myself at the end of the pay period. I guess I am just a glutton fot punishment.
In the end though, every penny I spend on my car is a penny spent on me.....

Its a love that some will never know.

Join the club, Rotor Brother. You'll run into headaches with these cars but it's all about owning one.
