I love my car!

Oh I am in so much trouble now ;)

I just got back from an hour plus long drive through some very, very nice twisty back mountain roads up here. There's a dead-ender going up a hill that's just a dream, switchbacks, hairpins, sweepers, a long straight, it's got it all.

My FB stuck like a slot car. It literally could do no wrong and just rocked that road! It was like being in a slightly bigger go-kart! The manual steering was communicative and precise, the brakes were smooth and didn't heat fade, the gearbox was the perfect ratio spread in 2nd/3rd/4th, and the windows were down and the sunroof popped!

I suddenly forgot about every other car I've ever owned...it was pure bliss. Why oh why didn't I get back into lightweight great-handling cars sooner?

Just go for a drive. That's what RX-7's were meant to do. :icon_tup:

I feel the same way.. except with sh*tty tires and 23 year old shocks the ass end of the car steps out on every curve. It's actually good fun, but takes away from the car's capabilities. I can't wait to hit some of the TX Hill Country in my car once the suspension/brakes are upgraded.

i can't wait to enjoy my 7's again. i only drive them in the spring, summer, and some fall months. i'm not a fan of corrosive road salts or driving the 7's in the snow and running the risk of an inexperienced or non attention paying driver destroying one of my babies. soon though. soon.

I just enjoyed a couple back roads the other day in my Spyder.

Cant wait to try them out in the FC's.

I just got my car fully on the road again last Friday. Got her some new tires, and was going to break them in nice and easy, but then a couple buddies came up to visit me and we had to take her on a good long 20 mile canyon run. LOL the only easy driving she got that day was the short period of time it took to warm her up. I agree the 20+ year old suspension, gives for a little rough ride, but she still matches any modern car with their fancy traction control on the twisties!

when i get her on the road again I'm going to show here why she should not misbehave. big rubber smoke and all. i just got the coils from a S5 in today. and the CAS is out in the shed so its starting to come together
