i find this offensive XD

so i was lurking around, not logged in, and i noticed an ad...

https://i1178.photobucket.com/albums...reensa/wtf.jpg

look at the bottom ad, what is mazda trying to say? i'd like to think that mazda still supports the rotary community as a whole, but i think the guy who thought up this ad should be hung, drawn, and quartered

note to self-stop taking ads so seriously...

nothing wrong there, just selling ad space to pay the bills.

There is nothing wrong with that Ad. You should get an RX-8 as a daily driver - so you can enjoy the RX-7 on nights, weekends and nice weather only.

You shouldn't be daily driving our beatiful classics.

You're lucky we don't ban you.

ok, i love my sa as much as anyone else would, but in my opinion, cars are meant to be driven. i love driving my sa everyday, its a cool, fun car, and i dont hoon it, so i dont see what the issue would be. i think it would be better to drive it everyday, than leave it in the garage and clean every little bit of dust on it. and i have nothing against the rx8's, they are great cars. i just found the ad to be a bit funny, but i guess no one shares my humor. and if i could afford an rx-8, i would totally get one. but i had a limited budget, and the most i could have gotten was the engine and tranny out of an rx-8. so, i'll continue to enjoy my unique sa, every day. i would never forgive myself if anything happened to this car, but i cant stand to just see it sit, not being driven.

Acctually I find that ad quite comical as while at the chevy dealer(for my truck parts) all the sales guys were oogling my 83' GS (mind you it is pretty straint but FAR from showroom), and for those chastising anyone who daily drives a classic. . . well you don't know what your missing.

PK, proud owner/driver of a great 83' GS

P.S. all cars DESERVE to be driven REGULARLY !

I've been following your thread actually, and i must say you definitely have a very nice car. The pictures of your boss i believe sitting in the car were pretty funny  And yeah, these cars are quite the attention grabber, however i have already had the "what kind of datsun is that?" or the "how many cylinders?" but, it is very fun to drive, and the attention is nice sometimes

LOL, I DD both my FB's. My Accord barely saw any use this year, only during the winter, I think it sat the whole month of August and most of September haha.

Good catch Jake. I am not surprised at Mazda's approach to getting 7 owners to upgrade. It's rather smart of them, and I want Mazda to thrive. Enjoyed seeing your post. Thanks!

I daily drive my 83 rx7, and every weekend I drive it to and from school which is a two hour drive.

deadphoenix52 11-06-10 12:04 PM

my 8 is technically my daily. the 7 may go 2 or 3 days without being driven. but i do try to take her out as much as possible.

if I'm not on my crotch rocket I'm in my FB, RX-8's aren't bad, I wouldn't mind having one.
