Hydraulics or Air Suspension

Does anyone have any record of someone creating a first gen with hydraulics or air suspension? This is more out of curiosity. I am looking into new options for my car. It rides very rough from what the previous owner did. I want something that is adjustable and usable for tracking and street driving. I know these are oxymoron, but hey lets see what people run. My car is a S2 with a carbed 12A. I was told it has stock struts but cut racing beat springs in the rear.

Thanks

Hydraulic and air suspension are not well suited to the RX7, more suited to a European luxury vehicle. I recommend weld on perches for the front strut tubes with the spring of your choice. You will want camber caster adjusting plates with bearings such as the ones Techno Toy Tuning offers. You can use a perched spring for the rear if you’d like to have adjustability for ride height, but I have used lowering springs such as Racing Beat with a coil or two cut off. Just cut the dead coils (the ones that touch each other when unsprung). I recommend replacing the strut inserts and shocks too.

Also, many of us remove the rear sway bar.

Just an FYI if your new to RX7s, they don’t ride like old Cadillacs.

why not go with a magnetic suspension?

Never thought of that? Who makes something that fits the need?

Air suspension? like for load leveling on trucks? You have hydraulic brakes, if that helps. Really, I can't fathom why hydraulics would even cross your mind. In my 21 years of Rx-7s I have never seen this come up.
