How much $ did you spend on the initial purchase of your 1st gen and when did you buy it? I bought mine for $1200 in 2001. :D

A steal at $1500 CAN in 1999.....I've personally put 50K on it and the only real repair that had to be done were the brakes, regular maintenace excluded. I shouldn't say this...something's gonna break now:( I'm betting it's the tranny.

Free 85gsl , coworker said i could have it if i wanted to mess with getting it running, main problem was clogged vac lines , broken windshield, rust in fuel, put about $300 into it, general overlooked maintenance. Runs fine now, body straight and no rust anywhere.

How much
$2125.00 for a '85 GSL-SE with 139,000miles in May 2001. Needed a trans, picked one up for $125 I think, at a yard. To me it was a good deal.

$8500AUD with T2 engine, 1st gen auto with manual shift and 3000rpm stall kit :) Was good for a 13.9 on 8psi and crap street rubber.

'79 RX-7 GS yellow - $100 in '99 I believe, traded '84 RX-7 GSL-SE silver - free in '99, crushed '83 RX-7 GSL LPG turbo - $1900 in 2000, parted out for $2000 '83 RX-7 GSL charcoal grey - $400 in 2000, put about $1500 into it, still around '85 RX-7 GSL-SE orange (current) - no cost involved, traded for '71 RX-2 in 2002, still around |
